Beautiful Sue who helped me through the most turbulent times of recent years sent me a text today. It made me smile, but most of all it made me sit still, think .. and rejoice.
Sue & I are so alike ... we laughing call ourselves "soul sisters" .. we connect deeply without living in eachother's pockets ... are VERY like minded and can intuitively react to be there for one another.
And last night was typical .. she rang me late in the afternoon just to say Hi .. and within minutes I knew it was time for an impromtu visit .. yes .. time for a coffee.
The hours just flew .. her heart was heavy and was looking for some guidance and reassurance. Many laughs, hugs, and a few teary moments, we again ended the night celebrating a unique friendship and thanked the universe we have the gift of eachother.
This was her text .. not really special .. but it meant heaps to me
I have a little pixie
She's way up in the sky
I've told her to watch over you
She replied ... OK, but why?
I told her you are my best friend
And you mean so much to me
She said she'll take much care of you
And how your life should be
So when you feel the warmth at night'
She's letting you know she's near
She's right beside you wherever you go
Filling your life with cheer.

aww so good u have friends that are so close by .... what would life be wihtout friends.....hugs
Its a beautiful thing to have good friends. And her text is so very sweet. You both are so blessed to have each other.

Oh Cherie, how wonderful for you and the text is absolutely lovely. I too had a great soul friend, but sadly she has gone on, and trying to fill the gap is not an easy one. It has been 2 1/2 yrs now and oh I do miss being able to just pop in when I was down in health, or spirit, and get a hug. Like you, we did not live in each other's pockets, but knew that one was always there for the other. Cherish your friendship.

true friendship has no limits , my soul mate , my sister , my best friend has always been "there" for me , we have known each other since we were 5 !!
Sharing an emotional and spiritual bond with another person is truly a blessing .

Isn't it lovely Cherie, to know 'someone' is there. Doesn't matter where or what is happening in your life.
I've heard it said, that if one can count good friends on one hand they are blessed.
So many acquaintances........ but good friends or twin souls..... rare and loved beyond measure ^__^

Well flower, finally had to go and buy a new laptop last weekend so am starting from scratch again lol re pics etc

Cherie! I know exactly what u mean! I have a friend who means more to me than any of my sisters ever have, or will! We have been friends since we were 16 and time and circumstances have distanced us, BUT we always find each other again! lol Recently online!
I trust her and always have. There are very few I would say that about. We have been through so much together, good and bad, and our friendship has stood the test of time!
Only in the last couple of weeks I found another friend who actually lived as part of our family since she was 10 until she was old enough to leave home, and she disappeared from our lives for a number of years, but I found her again. I am not as close to her as my other friend but she is like family and I care about her.
Its so strange how they have both come back into my life, albeit online, at about the same time!
Some people are just mean`t to be in your life, "a"?
To me it signifies starting again from scratch, the 2 friends who mean`t so much to me, coming back into my life at nearly the same time, that I am in fact "well" again! ( recovered from my breakdown!)
I don`t make friends easily as I don`t trust easily but these 2 ladies knew me well, and me them!
The one I met at 16 is definitely the more special of the 2, but the other one is more like a sister and I don`t feel as close to her! lol Having said that, I am thrilled to have found her again, none the less!
