I've had confirmation that we are now 4 for sure to meet in Cairns on the weekend of 12 -13th November 10.

Anyone else interested - we will be staying at the Bellview Hotel on the Esplanade in Cairns.

2 of us are staying for a week so hope to get to Kurunda, Mamu canopy walk, Paronella Park to name a few. I'll be very happy to be back in my sarong....

This photo of the pool at Filoli shows how beautifully and complimentary the sections of the gardens are set out.

Check out the angles and shapes at the end of the straight lines of the pool.

Another visit is on my wish list!

What I really liked about Filoli was the textures that complimented the colours of plants, shrubs and trees in the way they were planted all over the property.

There were trees from all around the world and some 100 years old.
The colours were magnificent and I hope a small piece was captured in this photo.

In the gardens of Filoli there were many surprises, each turn would take us into another outdoor 'room'.
This photo is of Pansies in pots linine either side of the steps up to one of those rooms
