Us English, not the scots irish or welsh, invented the necktie. Now, in the olden days when the nobility had family crests, the coat of arms had the centre band going from top left to bottom right, however.....if the male was , Hhm, born illegitimate then the family crest band went from top right to bottom left. now the english ties run, as i said earlier, go from top left to bottom right, whereas.....American ties go the opposite way ! Now I ain,t implying nuthin, here, but, not a lot of people know that !
