    Hi, I am adding this, I see I have had over 50 viewers,nice but I was just thinking...Please don't anyone think this is a slam.(to anyone or anything) I just mentioned kd's name because I did want to make a comment on the the ideas that she posed, but ...did not feel anything this big was appropriate for a comment. So I did this, I don't want anyone to interpret this wrong. This is all just exploring ideas about what if's and why's. Nothing more, nothing less....I am slow to think about how others might take, so wanted to make sure this time.......
well I added more still .... at bottom , again ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Well where to start ? How about with predestination, a religious concept. I myself don't totally believe it is just a religious idea. It is universal, no doubt about that. Now in relationship to religion, it is ingrained in the pages of the Holy Bible, I think. I also believe it is in many other religious writings...many many prophecies. Statements of who was going to be born and who was going to do certain big things in the world as we know it now. Predestination ? Prophecy ? Same outcome ? Something for thoughts.
      Let me remind and state I am no scholar, these are only my opinions and ideas. I'm just throwing some ideas out there, letting others form ideas and opinions of their own. KD kind of posed a question that cannot really be answered, only ideas and opinions of each person. Maybe if we had a ghost to talk to.....  *note 5/3 Nostradamus is spelled correctly, I just checked.
    I say not totally religious because of Nostradamus, Edger Cayce,and many others who "saw", and "see" the future. How could one "see" unless it hadn't  already happened ? Just one way to think of it. There are many people with these abilities but Cayce and Nostradamus are enough. They are so well documented and proven. The question could be is premonition and predestined the same plane, but in a different time  era, or on a different plane altogether in time.  * note I did spell Nostradamus correctly, I just now checked 5/3
    Nostradamus saw Napolean and Adolf Hitler, and the damage they did and the carnnage they left behind. Born in 1503, in medicine and astonomy by 1544. By 1555 his book called "Centuries" was published. ok, this is already getting long, look these people up you will find a fasinating read. I don't think I need to prove a point here, you get the idea. Certain well documented people have predicted the future for centuries. Can we come close to figuring that out ?
    Karma does not have a place in Christianity, to my knowledge. Karma is not a simple one to one relationship of punishment or reward. Karma is often related to re-incarnation. Which I'm sure many are aware that does belong in a few religions, but not Christianity. But then KD did not mention Christianity. She said religion. Karma is working towards a goal of making up for past mistakes, gathering karma to bank now, and for the future. Their idea is you suffer what you deserve and there is no getting around it. No pity, no need for anyone to try to help you. You have to work it all out for yourself, as opposed to Christians having Christ as a Savior to help them work out their future, and the current now as far as that goes.
    We could get into the amazing children that people call a "child prodigy". You just know those kids were meant to do whatever amazing thing it is they are doing. Many people do get to do what they "feel" they were born to do.Some animals to. Sea Biscuit comes to mind and maybe Rin Tin Tin or Lassie (s).
    The Bible tells of God telling that He knew us before we were born, that He knows every hair on our heads. I guess you would have to believe the Holy Bible to believe that.( I do, plus other writings also). I always put Holy Bible, because all religions have a bible of sorts. The Satanic bible, theres one for wicca (?, not sure of spelling), even atheists probably have a bible of sorts that they all look at or into. So I say Holy Bible when I speak for Christianity as a whole. I do not believe Christianity, religion, and spirituality are the same thing either. I personally believe they can be three seperate issues, or all together. Depending on each individual preference.
    Where does free will fit in ? Well, let me think. I can only imagine. Lets say I was giving a nice yard away, beautiful, wonderful yard. ( with a really nice pool). I have rules.I need you to do a few things while your waiting. I invite everyone. Well why, first of all should I have someone there who doesn't like me? Someone who doesn't believe me ? or trust me to do as I said ? It would be your choice to be there and do the work and follow the rules. The payoff could be something you really look forward to. Free will. Why would we want to keep anyone around that didn't believe or like us ? Unless we were just using them for whatever we could get. Believe me that happens in religion also, happens everywhere, everyday. No one is immune from all the sins and temptations. So free will, we have a choice in how we want to live and act....but... but...how does that fit in with my notion, my firm belief, that " there are no accidents"? Because I also believe life gives us lessons on our path to wherever it is we are going. When we are off that path, which can be often for some, we are given lessons. Kind of like cause and effect. You know, what goes around, comes around. I think we are given lessons through people, events, thoughts and actions of others. Actions and reactions.
    Well I am rambling now. Kd has broched a huge subject, an unanswerable group of questions. I love the thinking of it though. The science, the religion, the research, the thoughts.
    . We never know what life is going to bring.....even though someone else might . Should someone be able to answer all those questions, they wouldn't be here, or would they ????  Life is a mystery and I think will remain so.
      Blessings to all. By all means, feel free to give any opinion you want......that is the object of the exercise......

* as a note after just now reading the comments on kd's blog, I must say I have seen auto, farming and other "accidents" that took a persons life and could draw no conclusion but that it was their time. I do believe that also, when it is your time.....but then, what about the power of prayer, that has saved lives, and miracles ?...See this has no end.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ok, this could be a whole 'nother blog. I just went back and read some of comments on kd's...I have such deep feelings on these matters..You know, I think I will add more on the blog. I know we can't NOT OFFEND someone, somewhere...and I suppose if anyone would be the one to offend everyone, God forbid, it may be me. I have lived an unsheltered life. I have seen things people shouldn't see. Done things people shouldn't do. God or no God, there are just certain ways people should not act, ever, at all, period. (not talking of just me).
    Most days I feel I stand alone in the crazy way I believe. I am a fact gatherer, myths, ledgends, some new/old ideas...I keep a very open mind. I have questions also. Ynot says why even wonder....well wonder helps growth and growth helps us to mature as humans. To evolve, so to speak, to a higher level of conscienous thinking. (might have mispelled, duh ).
    I believe we are "spiritual" beings having a "human" experience. I believe the universe is so huge and full of life, our puny brains won't and can't even fathom the size...forever. I believe in Christ. I believe in a Higher Power,that I will call God. I believe in the Dalai Lama and his peaceful idea for the world. I believe in life from other planets. I somewhat believe in evolution of species, I mean we see it in the flu virus, yearly mutations. I believe in science, I believe in miracles and prayer does work, but not perfectly all the time, at the time.. I believe in debate and working it out with words, as long as possible.  I believe in having a beer once in a while in the summer, or when one is sickly, I don't belive in daily drunkeness. I believe in moderation as much as posible, except when with a husband or wife *_*.
    I say Christian, but in all reality, many Christians have so let me down. I don't believe I have to call myself Christian to believe in Christ. ( although that is the proper reasoning one would think). I believe in the crop circles, I believe in the ufo's so many have claimed to have seen. That could be a new subject. Anybody ? I'm ready if you are.
    I don't believe Christ/God is going to look anything like what the average person thinks He will, not even close. I don't think the person who believes in Budda, as opposed to Christ, is going to go to hell (as most Christians think everyone else will but them). I believe I have many people shaking their heads, for many reasons. Like Ynot said..".it really doesn't matter". These are just my feelings today. A tornado may come through tonight and cause terrrible damage and I will look tommorrow and see something different for the human race. I may be more cynical or more positive. It's ok to wonder and think, to ponder. I think everyone does a daydream or two....( My stance on Christ and God will not change, I stand firm there, but will listen to ideas of peace, history, growth...)
      I also have questions like why do little childen get beat and abused, tortured and killed without much consequence to the abuser ? Why do crackheads sell their children out for more drug ? Why is drug abuse and child abuse so prevalant without God stepping in? Why are innocent people murdered over a wallet containing $4.00 ? Why are innocent babies born with such life threatening ilness and have to go through painful surgeries ?
    Why indeed. I to am struck with awe and wonder at the magnificence and beauty of this planet at times, only to be dumbfounded at the senseless killings and tortures in Darfur and Tibet, just to name two. Why indeed ? Where is God, why is this allowed ? Well it isn't God killing and harming the children, it is us, mankind. Free will, to act as we choose. Do you not believe there can be no consequence for this? Somehow, some way ?  Oh and Pooky dear, Karma and angels are not the same thing. Karma is very serious dear, no angels in karma. Just you and you. You and karma.
    More to think and talk about...just try our best everyday to be a decent human being, and at least believe in something, even if it's not what everyone else believes in. Do...always consider the consequence of your actions....We are all very complex souls...and there is a reason airline pilots say souls on board, as opposed to passengers...We are all souls, not white, brown, 50 or 75, polka dotted or tall or skinny...souls, to be treated with kindness and care  ok I'll shut up for a while....lol  Why don't we have the unicorn, it's in the Bible, didn't make the ark ? There is a whole world of stuff to talk about out there, are we going to be afraid to broch the tough subjects......take care ....Peace
