Hi friends, one and all....
...hopefully, this will be a helpful piece of advice for the day....i find it helpful to
try to remember that this is Overfifties...that means that some of our members
are on medications that may sometimes make them act in an angry, hurtful
way...in a way that is not who they really are (and no, im not on any
medications myself and am healthy at the moment...but it can happen to any of
us at any time). Alcohol consumption is another factor (some people get silly
drunk but some can be quite beligerant).
...therefore, try not to take anything too personally. Instead, maybe choose to
pray for their recovery. It's a hard thing not to lash back at times...that only
makes things worse. I know from personal experience that i want to defend
myself but that doesn't help. Don't let them run you off though...it's often the
medication talking. Admin's advice is to ignore any negative comments and that
works best.
...if we all choose to ignore it completely, it will usually fizzle out in short
order...but above all, don't take anything to heart from those who are negative.
Then we will all enjoy a healthy, happy environment here.
...enjoy the day, anna

Here, here! I hadn't thought about the possibility of belligerent wording having its base in a bottle of pills or drink. LOL That leaves me with no excuse.

anna are u saying your the ad-min
well u r so right, but dont forget we dealing with real folk and they got moods.
Also we are talking to folk in their own homes now would u be rude to any one in their home?
my moto is if u can't say nothing nice say nothing at all

But if u are not thick skinned anna, things can really hurt u and dwell on your mind. But on the whole, I agree with what u are saying.

Hi Fuzzy...thank you for your question so i can clarify:
...you asked if i'm saying i am admin. No, if you click on the blue words at the top of the Blog page where is says "what to do if you are being slandered" it will tell us to ignore the abuse. Here it is copied and pasted from admin's words (not mine):
"• If you are in the chat room click on their name then choose 'Ignore'
• Don't be tempted to respond, just ignore them."
"In order for the administrators to see clearly who is the trouble maker, stay out of any arguments. Don't be tempted to let your reaction become worse than the original attack!"

This is all very interesting...this is a good example of how these things work. I know you were trying to help me and defend me Anna, I know that...your a good person..BUT..., you have hurt me by making me feel helpless and ignorant. Like I can't defend myself, and then coaxing me to lay low until the storm passes, like I am incapable of thinking for myself. I guess the nurse in you just takes over...and yes I am laughing with the humor of it...now. Maybe know one would know this was defending me.....but a few of these people have a brain.
When I was on the serious stuff (predisoone) I told so. Many claimed to be my friend then, regardless. Same ones who crucify me now. Thank you for trying to be subtle....it is a good lesson, all in all. Overall it was a good effort on your part. Thanks, I guess, next time you pay for lunch.

...this blog was written with no one in particular in mind. To be perfectly honest, I would have to say that i was inspired to write it due to many recent problems in all areas (Chatroom, Discussions Forum, and Blogs) and by the fact that there have been two people harassing me in a bizarre way(not you). I didn't mean to offend anyone by it. I apologize if i did.

I`m afraid I am in the same boat as winner and when on Prednisone I am quite agro and ultra sensitive and if I fly off the handle u can guarantee I am on Prednisone! If I upset anyone at these times I oplogise! Not sure if this is aimed at me or not,but if so, then I hope this clarifies what was going on. I have been on Prednisone quite a bit over the last while, due to a long battle with bronchitis.Winner, I can now empathise with you as I know what it is like! Oh! And Prednisone also makes u paranoid! Horrible stuff but so necessary at times, for breathing in my case!I was led to believe winner and anna were one and the same person too......or was that my paranoia?......haha

ok Anna, now we have our diff's settled, thanks eyes for your words also.
Thanks and gratitude to both of you.

People seem to be flocking here...has anyone heard from Loves? I know she is in Georgia, I know there was big tornado in Atlanta. The tornado could have hit outlying communities. Thats all..just voicing real concern for those in Georgia.....
