Wymondham Abbey, in Norfolk, was founded in 1107 by William D'Albini, Chief Butler to King Henry I, as a Priory of the great Benedictine Monastery of St. Albans. It became an Abbey in its own right in 1448 and was suppressed under Henry VIII in 1538. Since then it has served as the Parish Church of Wymondham. the whole country is littered with the runes of abbeys, <thanks to Henry VIII. just because the pope would not grant nim a devorce >

Driving home from work this afternoon , i felt really good then i realised why, the sun was shining brightly on the eastern horizon < the first time in weeks it has not been obscured by mist or clouds ,and it means the days are starting to draw out , we still have a lot of bad weather to come ,but for a brief time it was good to be around outside , the country side is still pretending to be green , the garden is a mess , the pampas plumes are still hanging on in there abeit at 45% angle , the primula are starting to bloom in red yellow blue, and move , and the viola< pansies > are still going strong, i planted a tub of tulips . about a 100 bulbs, which i got for a song . lol but as they are late its possible they may come up blind this spring we shall see ;;
