here i am, have been riding my horse about twenty minutes, no big deal, on our way to turkey creek which is south of me on 80 acres. just went through my gate and am getting close to my daughters land where i cut across to the 80 acres and as i come up on their property we are just walking along nice and easy, very relaxed the horse and me, boom, then all of a sudden she jumped sideways and threw me off balance to the right and then she started bucking and up in the air i went, and away she went running hard and bucking all the way to my daughters outdoor kitchen about a hundred yards from where i was and she turned and followed the woodline around and came back toward me and i got her to run up to me and stop, she was all tensed up and wide eyed. She broke one of my reins so i had to tie the end of the one rein i had left to the side that had broken and i got on her and rode around and found the rein that had broken. We went on to the creek and rode for about another thirty minutes. Just two days before the old mama donkey kicked me in the left shoulder, and that was the side i landed on so am very sore today on that side. I was lucky enough to just get a little road rash from the rocks that i landed on, other than that i am ok. Word of warning...if someone wants to give you a horse free and they tell you it is broke to ride, have them show you, hahaha. I was given this horse three years ago and was told that she was broke. I knew she hadn't been taught much so i called the original owner that sold her to the lady that gave her to me and got some background info on the horse and found out that when she was two years old she had thirty days of training, which usually doesn't amount to much, she is now 13 years old, guess i got my work cut out for me. I hope you all can get a laugh out of this, everyone here sure did, keep a smile on  for those of you who may be wondering i am not a paid member so can't answer e mails, so am not ignoring you, write a blog and i'll say hi

hi folks, in may i'm taking my horse to a horse ranch not far from where i live for a fun filled week with a beautiful stallion. Well, i'm not sure how much fun it will be for her but with any luck everything will be ok with her. I'm trying to figure out what kind of a name i could come up with for a new foal, if you have any suggestions i would love to hear them. This is a picture of the stallion i have decided on, a picture of two of his foals are in my profile photos. I am expecting to have or wishing for a brown and white colt close to the one in the picture. The stallion is double regestered, missouri fox trotter and spotted saddle horse which gives me a 50 50 chance of getting a gaited horse since the foxtrotteer is a gaited breed.oh well, if you have any ideas about names let me know. thanks
