Hi Folks.
You know has I look back at my pictures of our holiday in Spain it seems like a live time ago. But the one thing I have is memories.
Our lifes are shaped by memories - goob or bad - we remember. We see a picture or hear a song or we find an object long since misplaced and they all evoke memories. My life and I guess most of yours has good and bad memories that we draw on when we need too. I feel sad for those who by deceise or accident lose thier memories, because then something fundimental has been taken from their lives. Too be without memories to me must take the best part of your life away from you - how sad!!.
My abiding memory of Spain will be the fabulas sunsets over the mountains and the sight of that will stay in my memory as long as I have one.
Thats all for now, so long and may your God go with you.

Hi Folks.
For the first time in over forty years this year my wife & I had christmas & new year by our selves. We went to Spain with 2 friends & left our Daughter & grandkids to fend for themselves. It was very strange especially on christnas day. To be sat outdoors in shorts & tshirt in the sun is weird for someone who is used to cold christmases. Also you do miss the kids running round all exited over the presents & things.
But you know what.........
I would not have missed it for the world. It was an awesome adventure, Spain is a beautiful mountainous country with lpvely seaside towns & vilages. The people are warm & friendly with tthier welcome. Too see the difference in culture & thier way of life is fasinating.
To site on a beach and look up at the mountains no more than 10mile away with thier tops covered in snow is captavating. Too go up the mountain road and feel the crisp clear air is a joy.
I will probably rable on about this for weeks now so I hope you all wont gey too bored.
Thats it for now, bye and may your God go with you.
Cheers Fivealive.

Hi Folks.
Well another Christmas come but not gone yet, still snow on the ground. The way this country grinds to a halt every year just amazes me. When you think of the amount of snow other places get and can still keep going.
We had driven to southern Spain this year for Christmas & new year. Driving back we hit snow but they kept the roads going, not one problem. But get of the ferry this end in England and bang no going nowhere!!.
Y hope you all had a good Christmad where ever you were, and that your Gods were kind to you. May 2010 be one of your best.
May your God go with you.
Cheers.

Hi Folks.

I was shopping in our local supermarket the other day, in the veggi section. A young couple near me were looking at the potatoes, when I heard the young girl say to her partner "its a pity you carnt get them already peeled". I thought this is what the world is comming to, not even got the time or patience to peel spuds, I ask you!!.

People should take the time to enjoy the simple & even the mundane things we have to do. Live is short so why make it shorter by running around like mad men. Take time to enjoy this life its the only one we get. How many people notice the sun comming up or hear the birdsong in a morning. To sit in the garden in the evening on a nice day with a glass of good red wine and watch the world go by is one of lifes real pleasures.

Take time to enjoy your life. Thats it for now. Goodbye & may your God go with you.

Cheers.

Hi Folks.

Well things in the Fivealive household are still much the same, although there is an air of acceptability about whats happening. Its made better by knowing we have a buyer for the house which is now sold, subject to contracts, and is going to its natural conclusion. We hopfully will walk away from this stronger and with our heads held high, knowing we did our best.
When things like this happen at first you feel angry and frustrated and that the world is about to dis troy you, but then there is a feeling comes over you that is like, sod it, we will get through this one way or another, and you & your family close ranks & fight together. We are doing this & the sense of pulling together gets stronger everyday. My family have been each others rock & we have built a strong wall to support ourselves. I would like to thank you all who took the time to read this & I am very grateful for the messages of support.
Life is hard then you die they say, well if thats true we will battle on for afew years yet.
Thats it for now, thanks, & may your God go with you.
Cheers Fivealive.
