Welcome to fivealive's blog!

Hi Folks.
Well the adventure started to roll this with the first big hurdle...........
Passport application!!
The form is big enough too tell your lifestory & I think I just about told it. Linda's is eithen worse because she has to prove her name every time she changed it. After 4 hours of dilligent filling in of various boxes we think we have cracked it.
Now the next stage Photo's
Now those of you who read my blogs will have noticed i wear glasses, I've worn glasses since i was 7 in fact they are the first thing i put on in the morning & the last thing i take of at night. So imagine my surprise when I walk into the chemist to get them taken I was instructed to take them off. This is appraently so the passport control can match the photo to the face!!. Now call me stupid if you want but i cannot see for the life ofme what difference having normal glasses on can make, especally when you see the way some people where going through customs, football stars . filmstars and other races.
Still that being done we were adviced to let the post office "check & send" our forms. this is a process wher by some spotty youth checks to make that a 55 year old still has enough intelligence to fill out a form. Then put it in the mailbox for you. Oh yes & they charge you 7pound each for the priverledge.
Well that all been finished we are spending the next week recovering, then on to the next challenge. So til next time so long & may your God go with you. Cheers Fivealive. (or should I say "au revoir")
