I tried to write a poem today
really couldn't  think of anything to say
its seems the blues that inspire my soul
have up and gone,.... the little troll.

To leave me here without my pain
runinng,screaming through my brain.
These happy things have got to go
Before they take root and start to grow.

What if I start smilng all over
running around and dancing in clover?
tapping my toes or snapping my fingers
gez, it would be bad if this feeling lingers.

This is all getting creepy
I am KD I am supposed to be morbid and weepy
Torchered soul, gloom,doom and dispair
hiding all day in my pitiful little lair.

I tell you this I know
this happy, has GOT TO GO!
yesterday I caught myself smiling
hub said it was beguiling.

I may have to slit my throat..........

A while back I wrote a blog about empty nest syndrome. Please ignore it. All the whining and moaning I wrote, forgive me for it.

You see I have just spent the last three days( 3 days,do you hear me!!!!!!!) with my youngest angel. She came for an impromptu visit to see dear old Mom and Dad. She loves us so much(ie...Mama will you do my laundry?)  Dad!!!!!!!!!!how I've missed you ( my car needs tuned and new brakes).
The house looks lovely( what do you mean my room is now the den!!!)
Yes please Mother I would love to help you cook dinner( right after I take a 4 hr. nap).
Do you see how she takes such care to come often to visit( so she can pick up the laundry she left here last time).
I made a lovely chocolate cake in her honor, at least I think I did hub and I really didn't get to see it, much less taste it.
Such a thoughtful child too, she took me shopping. To a place in the mall called Spencers gifts. Spencers it would appear caters to the younger, hip (wait she told me not to say hip) the young adult. And you will never guess what happened just as we got to the check out. Yup.....poor angel had forgot her wallet at home. No, it just was not in that 40 pound purse she carries. and of course after all the shopping my poor little angel was just "famished" MOTHER! Nothing but the best for our baby girl....steak it is.
On the long (Oh,God!!!!Momma your music is soooooooo boring) ride home we had a grand ole time.
She left tonight at 7:42p.m.
Hub has just went to the grocery store as we now have no food, my 30 dollar a bottle shampoo seems to have disappeared and there is a big greasy pizza stain on my greatgrand mothers hand made quilt.
Me.......I think I will have a martini, a valiumn, and a hot bath.
Don't you just love it when the kids visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Passing this along...recieved it in an email.

1. Faith is the ability to not panic.
2. If you worry, you didn't pray.  If you prayed, don't worry.
3. As a child of God, prayer is kinda like calling home every day.
4. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
5. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still.  God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.
6. Do the math.  Count your blessings.
7. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
8. Dear God: I have a problem.  It's me.
9. Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
10. Laugh every day - it's like inner jogging.
11. The most important things in your home are the people.
12. Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.  (Preach it!)
13. There is no key to happiness.  The door is always open.  Come on in.
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.
16. We do not remember days but moments.  Life moves too fast so enjoy your precious moments.
17. Nothing is real to you until you experience it; otherwise it's just hearsay.
18. It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again.  Just be sure to flush when you are done.
19. Surviving and living your life successfully requires courage.  The goals and dreams you're seeking require courage and risk-taking.  Learn from the turtle, it only makes progress when it sticks out its neck.
20. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation.  Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.  Leave gentle fingerprints on the soul of another for the angels to read.  I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it.  I want to have lived the width of it as well.
Judge Not .................Remember....just  going to church does not make you a Christian anymore than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Just when I thought it was safe...................the rain she came. The creek she did flow over her banks. And the basment she did flood! Again!  In the middle of me trying to freeze veggies and get dinner going for company that was coming.

Out runs hub with the sump pump to the basement, where the water was 2 feet high and growing. I look down steam and our poor neighbors outbuilding was flowing away. Not to mention his garden is now distroyed. Off we run to help them, me forgetting all about the veggie in the pot on the stove blanching.

Hub runs back to the house for the other sump pump to try and some how redirect the water another way for them. Attempt in futility, but you know guys they got to try. The rain finally stopped and I swear in an hours time it looked like nothing had happened. Until I look up the hill to our house which had black smoke rolling out the kitchen window! Thats right folks the lady with no brain  with the veggies on the stove.

Hub yells, up the hill we run {not an easy thing for a spoiled girl} Ever seen a marshmallow roll up hill?
Bust into the kitchen, oh shoot, where is that fire puter outer thingy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally find it and long story short got a giant mess in the kitchen,I am soaked to the bone, with company coming in half an hour.

Today was good cause I am alive and well but tonight is better cause today is over.
Y'all have a good one now ya hear?
