Welcome to ozzball's blog!

I'm one of the new 'kids' on the block and I never knew Joe, but I have become friends with others who were close to him. Friends that he helped in so many different ways with trust, humour and respect. This makes me all the poorer, it's not often in life that we get the chance to come into contact with real wisdom and generosity of spirit which, from what friends have said and the tributes left here, Joe had in abundance.
It's the true measure of a man that he is remembered for what he leaves behind rather than what he took before he left. Joe leaves behind a legacy of memories, smiles and the gratitude of those whose lives he touched. He also leaves behind the pain which so obviously invaded his life.
I feel selfish writing this because I too will miss Joe even though we never spoke, and not having had that chance is the thing I'll miss.
