once upon a time, when i was young. and all my hopes and dreams were shiny bright. i knew that i was born to find a way. to forge a path from darkness into light i saw my self with armour, sword and shield. astride a milk white steed. with hooves of gold.....but then i put away my childish dreams..... and set about the task of growing old. which business was accomplishedin trice. well within the blinking of the eye? the decades mere acquaintances. they came touched my brow. and then just hurried by. such years as lie ahead, are very few, ;;to precious to be squanderd on regret;; tho? memories invade and claim the mind. with echoes of those high ideas unmet. and yet..... and here,s the wonder, here,s the joy... with my heart, that far -off light still gleams. for parting mists reveal a milk white steed. caparisoned in daisy- chains and dreams......
