I apologize for all the arrows, but this is copy and paste. I haven't time nor inclination to re-type it all. Please bear with me on this one.

The article is very interesting, but where did you get the statistics?

Joyous did post a URL, Imrose.
But I can't find the info there. Perhaps the site has updated.

All them little arrow thingies on the lefthand side of Joyous's post MIGHT indicate it came from an Email ?

I read the article on the URL and couldn't find any stats either. Would be nice to know where the info came from.

You're right. That is an email. It looks like the URL goes to a completely different article so there's no way to check any of that info.

AHAAAAAA ...... !

http://www.snopes.com/rumors/automakers.asp
For some reason, I can't cut-and-paste from Snopes
but the assessment is
"MIXTURE OF TRUTH, FALSITY AND OUTDATED INFORMATION".

Done in again by the Fredster!

I got it from my son and guilty, I didn't check snopes.

Even if it is outdated, whatever truth there is is still truth.

Sorry Joyous, I promise I'll never do it again ........ (yeah RIGHT!).

Not just "outdated" babe - but also contains "falsity".

A bit like the 'bible', I suppose.
Impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff.
