Hello,
I have recently retired and moved from Connecticut to Alabama. Being a homebody, I don't know many people here. I really enjoy my computer and am interested in meeting new people. I'm 64 years young, married and would like to chat or write to people of the same age. Not interested in any romantic or personal involvement. Just general interest.
PS. I have two chihuahuas dogs. They are the loves of my life. If anyone has pets and would like to discuss doggie news that would be great.

Guardina, we had two chihuahuas years ago. Very faithful pets. My daughter has one who won't be around much longer and second son has one. Cute pets.
I hope you like it here and stay with us.

Dear Joyous,
So nice to meet you. You are right about the chihuhuas.
They are very loving, loyal, and very, very, brave (what they lack in size, they make up in heart.) I'm sorry to hear of your daughter's dog. I guess all of us get to that point eventually. My older dog Appy(11 year old female) had surgery last week. She had a tumor removed from her hind leg. She is doing well. My other dog is a 8 year old male. His name is Satch. He is a real sweetheart! I tell everyone that he is a little boy in a dog suit.
Keep in touch. Stay well and Be Happy.

I hope Appy continues to heal rapidly.
Satch sounds like a great "Boy" to have around.

Joyous: Thanks for the kind words. I hope you are well and happy.
Maybe you can help me. I have been trying to enter the chat rooms in this site, but everyone is empty. Don't know what I'm doing wrong? If you could give me some input into this problem, I would be greatly appreciative. It would be great to chat with you and the nice people of this site.
Thanks!

Talk a little about the differences between Connecticut and Alabama. That must be a change. North to South. Have you ever lived in the south before?
I now reside in Mexico but located here from the south, Key West.
Dogs: always have had one in my life. Now I have what we call rescue Mexican dogs which means, the usually find you and come starving and miss treated. They are the most intelligent dog of them all and becuae now they no longer libr searching, their loyality and appreciation is unusual to experience. Write!

OK, thanks for the "word to the wise" and please help. This is my first endeavor at chat rooms etc. Kinda fun reaching out across the sea. Tell me about Austalia. Where is Austalia. I bet it's next to Neverland. Full of magic.
What goes on there? What do people do?

Oh Bra, I'm not quite sure whether you're having a dig at me or NOT.
I miss-keyed. I meant "AUSTRALIA".
You know, kangaroos, koalas, Crocodile Dundee, Steve Irwin .... ?
A big island-continent on the bottom half of the globe ?
One or the few places that the U.S. hasn't had a war with ..... yet ?

yuu, ouch!!!and your are correct. hopefully we have a leader secure enough with himself, grandiose behavior like that shall never never happen again.
There was no dig intended. I was hoping you might run with a little wandering, creative imagineation. Just lightheartedness!!
I have a question. About Tanzania. Was it really an English prision, years ago?
Recommed a good book? maybe one you are reading or finished?
How is your economy? /Wise enough not to follow us?

Dear Bra, after you have been here for a while, you will realize that I am ALWAYS 'correct'.
It's a MALE thing - and AUSTRALIAN as well.
Tanza-bloody-nia ? Who CARES ?
As for a 'reading list', I can recommend any of the following -
“Telling Lies for God" - Ian Plimer
"Jesus the Man" - Barbara Thiering
"Jesus the Magician" Morton Smith
OR
just about any of the plethora of tomes which are either anti-American or anti-CATS !
Oh! Fred!!!! Be nice! U will scare people away.
