| This I wrote from a man's perspective, as I feel they are sometimes bewildered, when they find that what they have worked for all their lives, is not what they actually wanted.
A SHELL HUED PALACE
I built you a shell hued palace
In which our love could reside
I built you a shell hued palace
But still I hear you sigh
Do you dream of our shack on the shoreline
Where first I made you my wife
Of the lantern we lit every evening
How it shone on our simple life
But as time passed, our fortunes grew
Times that were spent apart
Times that we could never reclaim
To express what we held in our hearts
It's too late now to bring us closer
I can't change our lives, though I try
I built you a shell hued palace
yet still I hear you sigh
